Just the FAQ's

What are lash extensions made of?

  • Lash extensions are made from a polymer fiber called Polybutylene Terephthalate, also known as PBT fiber.
  • It is a synthetic fiber.

Will extensions damage my natural lashes?

  • If the natural lash is isolated and the lash extension is applied properly, lash extensions will not damage your natural lashes.

How long do they last?

  • A full set may last approximately 4-6 weeks depending on your natural lash shed and growth cycle. On average, we may shed approximately 2-5 natural lashes in each eye every day.
  • Most clients need a fill in appointment between 3 - 4 weeks to maintain their desired lash volume. Some clients may need or prefer a fill in every two weeks. It is different for each client. External factors may affect the bond and durability of the adhesive post application. Following a good aftercare routine and cleansing your lashes daily is key to increased retention.
  • Clients may experience a noticeable natural lash shed approximately every 9-12 weeks or so, depending on their natural lash cycle.

Will the extensions cause my lashes to fall off?

Lash extensions should not cause your natural lashes to fall off unless they are applied improperly. A few factors that may cause your natural lashes to prematurely shed are; hormonal changes, suffering from seasonal allergy, or tugging and pulling your lashes.

How long is the appointment?

  • An appointment for a new client getting a full set is between 2 to 2 1/2 hours. This includes a consult and before and after photos.
  • A fill in appointment is one hour.
  • We also offer longer fill appointments upon advance request and scheduling.

What should I do before my lash appointment?

  • Be prepared not to get your lashes wet for up to 24 hours. Though adhesives are more advanced today, it is recommended you wait 4 - 8 hours after application before getting your extensions wet.
  • A shower prior to your lash appointment is recommended.
  • Come to your appointment with clean mascara free lashes.
  • Do not curl your lashes prior to appointment.

How do I take care of the lash extensions?

After care instructions for optimal retention:

  • Avoid chlorine (pool) water for at least 72 hours.
  • Avoid submerging lashes for up to 4 - 24 hours after application.
  • Avoid oil based eye makeup remover, eye makeup, eye primers, eye creams, and mascara.
  • Avoid tugging, scratching, itching, and pulling the lashes.
  • Avoid exposure to high heat, flames, ovens, grills, and steam. Did I mention, stay away from heat?
  • Cleanse your lashes with lash cleanser daily.
  • Avoid touching your lash extensions with unwashed hands.
  • DO Not stare in the rear view mirror at your lashes while driving. Sounds funny, but it's a struggle.;)

Can I wear mascara with the lash extensions?

  • We do not recommend wearing mascara. If you feel the need to wear mascara before your fill appointment, then we recommend using only water based mascara and only on the top two-thirds of your lash extensions.

What should I do if I notice a couple of my extensions are stuck together?

  • Never pull or tug at your lash extensions. Call or text your lash artist immediately and let them know. Often times, it is due to moisture, build up of eye products we use, or lashes caught on each other. Whatever the reason, it is best to have your lash artist look at your lash extensions and fix it for you.

What can I expect at my initial appointment?

  • You should receive pre-care instructions prior to your initial appointment. Please come prepared with clean mascara free lashes.
  • If a consultation was not scheduled prior to your initial lash extension appointment, then a consultation and completing a client consulation and consent form will be the first step.
  • We will discuss what your goals are, what look you are trying to achieve, if you have any allergies we should be aware of, any past lash extensions experience, and answer any concerns you may have.
  • Our mission is to get to know you better so we can create a a lash design especially for you.
